About “Perfekt Me”

“Perfekt Me?”… 

Yes, “Perfekt Me” is quite an unusual, but unique name for a speech therapy business!  The owner/Speech-language pathologist, Yoshika W. Garner, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, chose this name, along with its unique spelling, to reflect the utmost importance of “perfekting” the communication skills of those who have been diagnosed with communication disorder(s) so they are able to gain maximal independence in their lives.

Not to be confused with the pronunciation of the word “perfect,” the pronunciation “perfekt” was chosen because of its meaning, which is “to make something completely free from faults or defects or as close to such a condition as possible.”  This is the ultimate goal of “Perfekt Me Speech Therapy Services, PLLC,” to change lives by “making the communication skills, of children with communication disorders, free from faults or defects or as close to such a condition as possible” through practice.

“Perfekt Me” is a reciprocal statement.  As the communication skills, of children who have been diagnosed with communication disorders, are being “perfekted,” the Speech-language pathologist’s professional skills are being “perfekted” just as well…From this notion, “Perfekt Me Speech Therapy Services, PLLC,” was born…
